We’ve treated the wood to regulate its moisture levels and protect it from degradation. However, we recommend giving it a coat of waterproof paint or base layer preservative after a year. This will provide it with maximum protection from damp and rot. Shed with flat roofs are prone to leaking because rain often pools on the top. Thankfully, there’s no danger of that happening with our shed. As well as being slanted to prevent pooling, its roof is coated in waterproof asphalt for optimum protection.
